Day 1: Arrival in Milan


Upon arrival in Milan , (the capital city of Lombardy) at the exit of airport or the train station, you will be met by our representative, holding a play card with your name on it . Transfer to your hotel check-in and accommodation. Balance of day free for independent activities, or to enjoy the city. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: MILAN


After Breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel this morning to take you on a half day tour of some of the major sights of the city. The Duomo , Milan's cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world, is a surprisingly elegant mass of marble boasting 135 spires and 3,400 statues. The building began life as a Gothic cathedral, but over the centuries, the designs went through several modifications, and the finished Duomo is a strange mixture of styles. Your guide will take you through the church and right up to the roof, from which you can enjoy an up close look at the building's unique architecture and incredible views of the city. From the Duomo, you will continue to the Galleria : Milan's famous shopping arcade that features the biggest names in fashion. The balance of the day is at your leisure. If you want we will arrange a visit to the shopping Outlets near Milan, "the Capital of Fashion". Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : MILAN - VENICE


After Breakfast and check-out, you will be escorted to the rail station by our local representative who will assist you to your train bound for Venice (the capital city of Veneto). You will have first class rail tickets with seat reservations. The journey will take two and half hours on the comfortable Eurostar train. Upon arrival in Venice , you will be met by our representatives who will take you by private boat to your hotel. In the afternoon your private guide will meet you at your hotel for your private walking tour of the city. Venice's charm lies both in its unique civil engineering achievements, and in the harmony of Eastern and Western artistic styles that have flourished here over the centuries. Your private guided city tour will include some of the major sights that define the look and history of Venice, Doge's Palace , the residence of the Doge of Venice. From within Doge's Palace, you will cross through the Bridge of Sighs , built in the year 1600, the gateway to the Palace's prison. The tour continue with the visit of St. Mark's Basilica , built in the year 832 A.D. to protect the body of evangelist St. Mark, brought to Venice from Alessandria. End your tour at the St. Mark's Square and spend the balance of the day at leisure to explore the canals and cobble stoned streets on your own. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4 : VENICE-MURANO-BURANO-TORCELLO-VENICE


After Breakfast, your guide will escort you in your private boat to discover the three treasures of the Venice Lagoon: the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. You will start in Murano, famous worldwide for its beautiful glass art work. The Glass Museum , located in the Palazzo Giustinian , holds samples of glass from Egyptian times through to the present day, with its displays showing how the art and manufacture of glass developed over the centuries. Burano is located just north of Venice. The island is known throughout the world for its specialty: "Burano lace". Burano's colorful houses were painted brilliant colors out of the fishermen's desire to see their own houses from far out at sea. Torcello , the third Island you will visit is absolutely charming. A legend states that St. Mark stopped here while on his journey to Aquileia. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is considered a Byzantine masterpiece with its mosaic floor. Day 5 : VENICE - FLORENCE


After Breakfast and checking out of your hotel, you will be escorted to the rail station by our local representative who will assist you to your train bound for Florence (the capital city of Tuscany). You will have first class rail tickets with seat reservations. The journey will take two and a half hours on the comfortable Eurostar train. Upon arrival in Florence you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6 : FLORENCE


After Breakfast, your private guide will meet you at your hotel for your private walking tour of the city. Florence's rich past as the cultural centre of the Italian Renaissance can still be seen today in the wealth of art gathered here, and in the preservation of its splendid architecture. During this walk, you will see Piazza della Signoria with the town hall Palazzo Vecchio , the Duomo, the Baptistry with its Gates of Paradise , Giotto's independent bell tower , Brunelleschi's Dome , Santa Trinitΰ and Orsanmichele Church , the famous Accademia Gallery , Pontevecchio Bridge, as well as famous shopping streets and the Oltrarno - the fourth and last district, the manual crafts neighbourhood. Day 7 : FLORENCE – ROME


After Breakfast and checking out of your hotel, your private driver and assistant will meet you for your transfer to the Florence Rail station. At the station the assistant will take you to your platform and assist you in boarding the train. Upon arrival in Rome (the capital city of Italy and of Lazio) you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day at your leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8 : ACIENT ROME


After Breakfast, in the morning you are free to explore on your own. In the afternoon your private guide will meet you for your Ancient Rome tour. You will be taken to Piazza Venezia, where you will see the imposing memorial to Victor Emanuel II, the first King of United Italy. The tour will then proceed to the Roman Forum , the old centre of the Imperial City, where the Senate House , the basilicas and the temples of the major gods are located. After walking down the Via Sacra and passing by the Arch of Titus , you will visit the Colosseum , surrounded by impressive monuments such as the ruins of the Arch of Constantine the Great . The last stop on your tour will be the 5th century Christian Basilica of St. Peter's in Chains, where you will see the world famous Statue of Moses by Michelangelo. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 9 : ROME – VATICAN CITY – ROME


After Breakfast, fascinating half day private tour of the Vatican City , the smallest independent sovereign state in the world. In the Vatican Museum , you will be shown a fine collection of antiques. The visit includes: o The Sculpture Museum o The fascinating Tapestry Gallery o The Gallery of Maps o The world famous Sistine Chapel , decorated by Michelangelo. The tour will then proceed to St. Peter's Basilica , where you will view the art treasures of the largest Roman Catholic Church in the world, including Michelangelo's Pieta . The balance of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 :ROME – PERUGIA – DERUTA - PERUGIA


After Breakfast and checking out of your hotel, depart with your driver to Perugia , (the capital city of Umbria), arrival, transfer to your hotel, check-in and accomodation. In the afternoon your private guide will meet you for your Perugia tour. You will see the recently restored 13th century Fontana Maggiore , the Palazzo dei Priori which houses the National Gallery of Umbria and the Collegio del Cambio with its frescoes by Perugino and amble along Perugia's elegant main street, Corso Vannucci . Continue to visit the town of Deruta , famous for its majolica ceramics , where we will visit the studio of a local ceramic artisan. Return you to Perugia. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11 : PERUGIA – ASSISI - PERUGIA


After Breakfast, your private guide will meet you at your hotel for your private visit the walled hilltop town of Spello , a former Roman colony, which you will enter by one of its ancient gates. In Spello you can visit the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with its magnificent frescoes by Pinturicchio in the Cappella Baglioni (also known as the Cappella Bella). In the afternoon you can take some time to explore the city of Assisi known throughout the world as the birthplace of Saint Francis . You can wander through the medieval streets lined with Umbrian craft shops and delicatessens and visit the spectacular Basilica of Saint Francis with its frescoes by Giotto . Return you to Perugia. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12 : PERUGIA - NAPLES


After Breakfast and checking out of your hotel, depart with your driver to Naples , (the vibrant capital city of Campania). Upon arrival in Naples , transfer to your hotel check-in and accommodation. In the afternoon you will be met by your guide at your hotel and together you will proceed to sightseeing. Naples is a city of contrasts, with elegant palaces, large squares, narrow and cobbled streets, where washing flutters above you and beautiful churches jostle for space between tiny shops and bars. Some of the major sights that define the look and history of Naples, are: Piazza Plebiscito that is the most magnificent square in Naples, built in the form of an amphitheater and surrounded by wonderful buildings. Castel dell'Ovo that means "Egg Castle" in Italian, it's a 15th century structure on an island site that has been fortified since Roman times. The island is now joined to the mainland by a causeway. Fortress of Maschio Angioino named after Charles I of Anjou, this great castle was begun in the late 13th century and modified later with a magnificent Triumphal Arch that was added in the 15th century. Day 13 : NAPLES - CAPRI ISLAND – NAPLES


After Breakfast, you will be met by your guide at your hotel. You will proceed together to the pier, where you will board the hydrofoil across the Bay of Naples . Upon arrival at the Marina Grande you will take the Funicular to Capri . From here you will be met with a private car and visit the highest point on the Island for a panoramic view. Continue to Anacapri where you will see the fabulous Villa of Dr. Axel Munthe , a Swedish doctor, whose best selling book "Story of San Michele" tells of his time on Capri. His villa was built with the remains of Roman ruins. There is a beautiful shady garden with a terrace offering a splendid view of the island. Return back down to Capri, which is very chic with shops, hotels and restaurants lining the winding streets. In the main square, Piazza Umberto , there is a pretty white church and several open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the world drift by. Return to Naples by hydrofoil. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14 : NAPLES – AMALFI COAST – POMPEII - NAPLES


After Breakfast, a private excursion along the breathtaking Amalfi coastline with your driver is sure to be a highlight to remember. You will make stops in three of the delightful towns nestled in its bays: Positano , an elegant and colorful town with a history of attracting celebrities and artists; Amalfi , a picturesque seaside resort that is also the largest town on the coast; and Ravello , the highest town on the coast where the photo opportunities are unmatchable. In the afternoon, you will stop to visit the ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii. Together with a local guide you will visit this city which was buried under a thick layer of ash and pumice after the eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., a disaster that nevertheless preserved the contents of Pompei with fascinating precision. The driver will return you to Naples . Overnight at Hotel.

Day 15 : DEPARTURE


After Breakfast and checking out of your hotel, depart for your onward travel. Transfers can be arranged for your next point or the Naples Airport or rail station or add another of our mini packages.
