Day 1: Rome
Upon arrival in Rome (Lazio region) capital of Italy, at the exit of airport or the train station, you will be met by our representative, holding a play card with your name on it. Transfer to your hotel check-in and accommodation. Balance of day free for independent activities, or to enjoy the city. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Ancient Rome
After Breakfast, your private guide will meet you at your hotel for a fascinating private half day tour of the wonders of the Ancient Romans . You will be transported back to the days of the Caesars and the Roman legions as you will visit, together with your private local guide, the Circus Maximus , site of Ben Hur style races, the Roman Forum , and the incomparable Colosseum . Day 3: Rome - Pompeii - Rome
After Breakfast, together with your English speaking driver you will make your way south to the town of Pompeii (Campania Region) and it ancient ruins . The city was buried under a thick layer of ash and pumice after the eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., a disaster that nevertheless preserved the contents of Pompeii with fascinating precision. With a local guide you will visit the fascinating archaeological park. Your driver will return you in Rome. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Rome - Vatican City - Rome
After Breakfast, fascinating half day private tour of the Vatican starts in the galleries of the Vatican Museum , home to the most celebrated art collection in Europe. The museum tour ends in the spectacular Sistine Chapel , the extreme expression of Michelangelo's genius. Last, you will visit St. Peter's Basilica , the largest sanctuary of Christianity, where proportions appear to have been forgotten in an amazing triumph of marble, bronze and mosaic works.
